With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Joyce Ann Clemons, beloved daughter, sister, aunt, and dedicated educator, who peacefully left us at the age of 87 on April 14, 2024. She will be profoundly missed by her family, friends, and the countless lives she touched throughout her remarkable journey.
Born on June 25, 1936, Joyce lived a life defined by love, compassion, and a dedication to shaping young minds. She was known for her unwavering commitment to her family and her passion for education.
Throughout her 35 years as an educator, Joyce inspired generations of students with her wisdom, kindness, and enthusiasm for learning. She taught thousands of students how to Type, take Shorthand Notes, and use various Business Machines. She also taught Economics, PE, and spent many years as the Cheerleader Sponsor. This surely kept her young at heart!
Beyond her professional endeavors, Joyce cherished her role as a devoted daughter, sister, aunt, and great aunt. She poured love and support into her family, and took her role as Aunt Joyce very seriously, treating her nieces and nephews as her own.
Joyce leaves behind a legacy that will continue to inspire and uplift all who were fortunate enough to know her. While we mourn her passing, we take comfort in knowing that her spirit will live on in the hearts of those she touched.
Joyce is survived by her siblings, James Clemons, Janice Wendt, and Patty Ford. She also leaves behind six nieces and nephews, nine great nieces and nephews and one great great nephew. She had quite a special family!
A celebration of Joyce's life will be held on April 23 at 2pm at the Pasadena Funeral Chapel with a 3pm Internment at the Grand View Cemetery.
