Joseph “Joe” Orvill Sapp was born in Louisville, KY, on May 11, 1924, and passed away on September 16, 2010, in Deer Park, TX. Joe retired at 85 years of age after several successful careers with Armco (33 years), Furrow (10 years) and Home Depot (14 years). He was also a veteran who proudly served in the U.S. Navy during WWII and enjoyed hobbies such as gardening, Houston Astros, coached little league (Dodgers) and 52 annual years to New Braunfels on family trips. Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Herman and Mattie Sapp and brother, James W. Sapp. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Lee Sapp; sons, Joe Sapp and wife Pam and Randy Sapp and wife Sharon; daughter, Carolyn Sapp Campbell and husband Michael; grandchildren, Teri Sapp Cappadona and husband Fred, Mark Sapp and wife Amy, Chris Sapp and wife Candice, Jason Sapp and wife Dawn, Michael Campbell and wife Dorian and Stephanie Campbell Chavez and husband Paul; great-grandchildren, Kyle, Shane, Emily, Blake, Kaitlyn, Lauren, Justin, Addison, Sophie and Aiden. The family will receive friends on Sunday, September 19, 2010, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Grand View Funeral Home.
