He was born in Houston, Texas on October, 19, 1940. Jon graduated from Pasadena High School, Class of 1958. He attended Texas A&M Class of 1962 and University of Houston.
He was married to Peggy Joyce Mangrum on August 21, 1959 and celebrated 57 years of marriage.
Jon retired from Goodyear Chemical Company as an Area Manager. He was a member of the Top Ten Club and had a passion for fishing, hunting, travel, and family.
He is survived by his wife Peggy, daughter Karyn Lynn Overhultz Johnson, and son Jon Alan Overhultz and wife Donna. Also left to treasure Jon’s memory are his granddaughters: Meghan Johnson, Lauryn Overhultz, and Amber Overhultz, and sister Evelyn Overhultz Ship.
The family will receive visitors from 5:00 – 8:00 pm Tuesday, July 18 at Grand View Funeral Home.
