Mr. Johnny Lee Taylor of Channelview, TX sadly passed away on Friday, August 7th at the age 74. Mr. Taylor is survived by his loving wife, Cheryl Anne Taylor, 3 children, Mark Dewayne Taylor, Shannon Leigh Taylor, and Colt Michael Taylor, and his 3 step-children, Kelly Denise Lee, Patrick Francis Skillman, and Jacqueline Marie Benitez. He is also survived by his 7 grandchildren and step-grandchildren. Johnny Taylor was a lover of life and family. He was one of the best storytellers and had one of the best sense of humors and personalities a person could ever have.
Johnny Taylor loved old school country music along with hunting and fishing. He was a life-time member of the NRA and Texas Rifle Association. He was also a 32nd degree Mason.
Johnny Taylor was born in Cisco, TX in 1941 as the first born to a Mr. Johnnie Alvis Taylor and Mrs. Myrl Almeda Lowrance. Johnny Taylor is proceeded in death by his brother, Terry Taylor, and survived by his sister, Patsy Davis. He served in the US Army from 1960-1963 as part of the Airborne Division and earned distinguishments as an expert rifleman and Sharpshooter.
Johnny Taylor’s services will be held at Grand View Memorial Park in Deer Park, TX on Wednesday August 12th. Memorial service will be held from 4-5pm and viewing will be from 5-8pm along with finger foods being served from 6-8pm.
