John V. Garcia Jr., 70, of Pasadena, Texas was born in San Antonio, Texas on January 26, 1950 and entered into rest on Tuesday, June 30, 2020.
John was the eldest of eight children born to parents Juan and Frances Garcia. He attended Bloomington High School and began his career as a carpenter. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy and was married to Maria (Adela) Garcia in 1976.
In 2015, John retired and dedicated his time to enjoying his family, working on home projects, and watching sports. He was a devoted parishioner of St. Hyacinth Catholic Church. John was the best husband, father, and grandpa, and a friend to so many.
He is preceded in death by his father, Juan Garcia; brother, Jesse Garcia; and sister, Mary Jane Garcia. John is survived by his wife, Maria Garcia; daughter, Barbara Alvarez; son, John Garcia; daughter, Jacqueline Hernandez, and his 8 grandchildren.
