He was born June 6, 1974 in North Little Rock, Arkansas to Israel and Myra (Hinojosa) Ramirez. Joel was one of 3 sons and enjoyed spending time with his nieces, going to car shows, and making people laugh.
Joel graduated from the University of Houston as an architect and was an avid Cougar fan who enjoyed attending and watching football and basketball games.
He is survived by his parents, Israel and Myra Ramirez; brothers, Israel Ramirez, Jr. and wife, Stephanie; Rolando Ramirez and wife, Cynthia; 2 nieces Alysandra and Ariana Ramirez, maternal grandmother, and a number of aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Visitation will be held Friday evening, April 2, 2021 at Grand View Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a rosary being recited at 6:30 p.m.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m, Saturday, April 3, 2021 also at Grand View Funeral Home with burial following at Grand View Memorial Park Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be his brothers, Rolando Ramirez, and Israel Ramirez, Jr.; cousins Alex Gomez and Gonzalo Estrada IV, and friends, Larry Jimenez, and Joe Jimenez
Family requests in lieu of flowers memorials be made to the American Heart Association in Joel's Memory.
