Jerry graduated from Pasadena High School, class of 1961. He was one of a few freshmen to play on the 1958 State Finalist Football team. He served as a Pasadena Police officer from 1969 – 1972 and became a member of the Pipefitters Local Union 211. He also worked as a Shop foreman for Unisorb and later retired from Pasadena ISD, a man of many trades.
Jerry was known as a jokester and pulling pranks on his many cousins. He also enjoyed spending time with his family as they vacationed throughout the years and especially when his girls were performing with dance, band, or Cheerleading. You could definitely count on seeing him in the stands on Friday nights with the video camera sitting on his shoulder on the 50 yard line videoing his two girls. Later in life his beloved sidekick “Sugarbear” was the son he always wanted.
He is preceded in death by his Mother, Frances. He is survived by his Father, Wendil Jarman, his loving wife, Adrianne Jarman and her three children, Charlane Ethredge and husband Larry of Deer Park, TX, Robert Herron, of La Porte,TX and Dustin Herron of Nederland, TX. His Daughters, Belinda Jarman Brown of La Porte, TX and Cheryl Jarman Foster and husband Chuck Foster of Boerne, TX and their mother Katherine Arnold Jarman of Boerne, TX. His sister Noreda Bagwell and husband Aubrey Mack Bagwell of Pasadena, TX. His grandchildren, Hunter and Colton Brown of Alvin, TX, Haylee and Derek Foster of Boerne, TX, Cara, Kendall, and Zachary Barnhart of Deer Park, TX, Kendra Ferro and Tyler Herron of La Porte, TX and numerous nieces, aunts, uncles, nephews and cousins.
The family will receive friends for visitation on Friday, February 20, 2015 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Grand View Funeral Home. Funeral services will take place on Saturday, February 21, 2015 at 10:00 AM in the chapel of Grand View Funeral Home.
