She worked for Harris County for 36 years rising from an Assistant Horticulturalist to Landscape Manager. She was known for her dedication and strong work ethic. Jerri was committed to beautifying parks and community centers in Precinct Two where she received several accolades and awards for her landscape projects. Her fellow colleagues remember her as kind, fair and hardworking.
Jerri was a force of energy. She worked hard and loved even harder. She adored her family, her dogs, the beach, and cooking. You could often find her gardening and working outside where her love of horticulture was always on display.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband Lloyd Fletcher, son Greg Jones, daughter Kim Jones, grandchildren Catherine Jones, Chandler Jones, and Gavin Scott.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her honor to Pancan.org to further the scientific research on pancreatic cancer.
