James Clayton (Jack) Walker beloved husband of Mary Walker for 57 years passed away November 4 into the arms of his Lord and Savior. He is now healed. Born June 24, 1929 in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas to Frank and Ora (Withers) Walker. He lived his teenage years with sister in Ohio and graduated from Berlin Heights High School before moving to Galveston Texas. He then began his 40 year career with Southwestern Bell Telephone later A T & T and served his country in the Army during the Korean War. Jack was involved in sports in high school and throughout his life until Macular Degeneration limited his vision. He loved archery and was the 1965 National Bow Hunting Champion. Played tennis until he was eighty. Enjoyed hunting with a bow and arrow and a rifle. He accepted Christ as his savior and was baptized at an early age. He spent many years serving the Lord through music. He spent twelve happy years playing and performing with the King String Ukulele Band. Jack was a member of South Main Baptist Church in Pasadena Texas.
Preceded in death by sisters Mildred, Frances, Ann, Dorothy, Betty one brother Frank (Bill), Son Jerry Wayne Walker and daughter in law Lisa.
He is survived by wife Mary, loving in-laws, nieces, nephews and a host of long-time friends.
Services at Grand View cemetery, 8501 Spencer Highway, Pasadena, Texas Saturday November 18,
Visitation with family at 1PM, memorial service at 2PM grave site to immediately follow.

To Gloria and Hope for the special way they cared for him during his last days. Our heartfelt gratitude to Dr David Brown at Retina Consultants of Texas for the monthly injections for twenty years allowing Jack to maintain partial vision.

Jack was loved by many and will be missed.
