James Richard Marshall passed away on July 10, 2021 at the age of 90. James was born in Logansport, Louisiana to Bonnel and Verue (Swindell) Marshall. He is survived by his wife Alta (LaFitte) Marshall; his son James (Rick) Richard Marshall, Jr. and daughter in law, Maria Cristina Marshall, nieces, Phillis Haritos, Linda Perot, Debbie Leger, Teress Crane; nephews, Paul Marshall, Jackie Adams, and Eddie Howell; son-in-law, Randy Rice; cousins, Betty Watson and Judy Holt; grandchildren, Meredith Rice, Stephanie Macier, Sarah Reade, Rachel Marshall, Jacob Marshall; great-grandchildren, Rosemary and Kanaan Reade.
He is preceded in death by his parents; Bonnel and Verue Marshall; daughter, Neita Virginia Rice; sister, Stella Jane Adams and Virginia Ann Howell; and brother, Calvin Marshall.
James was a good man whom always made it home every night from working. He had a strong work ethic and a good provider for his family. He had a wonderful sense of humor; was a member of Pipefitters Local 211 and Masonic Lodge 1399 in Pasadena. He worked in Air Conditioning Maintenance for University of Houston and San Jacinto College. He loved to watch old westerns. He also enjoyed working with HAM Radios his handle was WA5LQR.
