James Crews

James Clay Crews passed away on July 21, 2011 in Pasadena, Texas at the age of 84. He was born on July 13, 1927 in Uniontown, Alabama to the union John B. Crews and Fannie Greer-Crews. James is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Esther Thompson Crews; brother, John B. Crews, Jr.; and grandson, Timothy Austin Gilbert. He is survived by 2 sons, James Clay Crews, Jr. and wife Mary, and John Francis Crews; 1 daughter, Marie Crews Gilbert and husband John; 5 grandchildren, Jason Clay Crews and wife Melissa, Robert Lee Crews and wife Jodie, Steven Wayne Crews, Wesley Ryan Gilbert, and Lauren Nicole Gilbert; 7 great-grandchildren, Justin Clay Crews, Brandon Guy Crews, Savanah Marie Crews, Leah Marie Crews, Trenton Wayne Crews, Darien Mathew Coker Wilcox, Nicholaus Allen Wilcox; 1 brother, Joseph Fransis Crews; as well as numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

The family will receive friends for visitation on Sunday, July 24, 2011 between the hours of 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. at Grand View Funeral Home. Funeral services will take place on Monday, July 25, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. in The Chapel of Grand View Funeral Home with interment to follow in Grand View Memorial Park.
