Irene Elaine Hamon was born October 25th of 1948 in Pasadena, Texas. According to all accounts she was an outgoing child and a lively teenager. Her creative abilities and social circles bloomed in her teenage years. She was classically trained in the fine arts in college and could turn a flat piece of paper into anything; a piece of fruit that looked like you could reach out and pick it up; a field you could walk into; a watercolor flower that could soothe your soul with a glance. She worked as lead of Humana Hospital’s print shop and moved on to work for M.D. Anderson Graphic Design Department. Her creations brought people in for healing at the hospitals where she was employed, and honored those that were healers there. She worked weekends painting faces to support her children. She was a Sunday school teacher in her second marriage. In her later years, she worked at Parkgate Community Church’s daycare program and loved helping and teaching the children there. She had a God given talent for caring for young children. Her second marriage produced two children, whom she loved thoroughly. She was a kind and genuine mother. She was both of her children’s closest friend and confident.
She has left behind, her Father and Step Mother, OscarWayne Hamon and Nona Hamon; Sister and Brother-in-law, Carol and Bill Buxton; Ex-husband and his Wife/her friend, Lowell and Bonnie Burt; three beautiful nieces, Traci Hamon Zieber, Michelle Hamon Kiefer, Beth Dickerman Richardson, along with their Families; her two children, Justin Wayne and Natalie Elizabeth Burt and their spouses, Amber Walston and Chad Poage; along with her grandchildren, Chanz Allen, Brandon Wayne, Corbin Kistner. Courntey Lynette, and Colby James.
Irene was greeted in heaven by, her brother Oscar Wayne Hamon Junior, her Mother and Step father, Ruby and Bill Brown; a few cousins; aunts and uncles; all of her grandparents; and all of her many beloved pets.
Irene was talented in many ways, but her capacity to love was by far her greatest talent.

She is missed
She is healed
She is in God’s gentle embrace
