Mrs. Travis was a high school graduate from Milby High School in South Houston where she was a twirler. She was a mom that dedicated her life to her husband, children and church. Mrs. Travis was a faithful member of South Avenue Baptist Church in Pasadena, TX where she taught Sunday school.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmie Lee Travis; parents, Samuel and Ruby. Mrs. Travis is survived by daughter, Kathy Jackson and husband Ronnie; son, Butch Travis and wife Pamela; grandchildren, James Schroeder and wife Natalie, Jim Schroeder, Justin Travis, Chelsea Sampson and husband Nolan; great-grandchildren, Kinsey, Maelie, Maverick, Jaylin; brother; Bubba Evans and wife Pat; sister, Sondra Boultinghouse and husband Gene nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, May 21, 2019 from 10:00 AM until 11:30 AM at Grand View Funeral Home. Graveside service will follow in Grand View Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be James Schroeder, Jim Schroeder, Bubba Evans, Matthew Evans, Justin Travis and Greg Gusman.
