Harry Aleman Sanders

Harry Aleman Sanders, age 76, of Pasadena, Texas passed away on Tuesday, July 4, 2023. He was born in Port Arthur, Texas, on March 10, 1947 to Maria Gonzalez and Stephen Jesse Sanders. He was married to Kathleen Fairbanks Sanders for 27 years.

Harry worked in retail most of his life, starting at the very young age of 15, when he worked for Stanley's and later as a manager at Sage Stores, for 10 years. Later on, he worked at Walgreens and Walmart, where he served as manager and assistant manager. He worked at Walmart for over 36 years, where he received numerous awards and acknowledgements from the company. He also had the honor of helping launch the opening of a few local stores and one in Georgia. He also had the honor of being in Forbes Magazine as a member of management at Walmart No. 752 in Pasadena, Texas. In his later years, he worked as a clerk, for Walmart, in the sporting goods department. Outside of work, Harry found joy in collecting M&M décor, he loved decorating, especially during the holidays, he enjoyed reading, watching movies, and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Harry Sanders is preceded in death by his parents, Stephen Jesse Sanders and Maria Gonzalez. He is survived by his brother, William Sanders; wife, Kathleen Fairbanks Sanders; son Eric P. Sanders; daughter Amy Sanders; step-daughters Melissa L. Ralls, and Marsha McVey; step-son Marcus McVey; grandchildren Kyler Malone, Kiyaan Wright, Kamry Wright, Kiviahna Williams; step-grandchildren Hannah Thompson, Mia LaBello, Leah LaBello, Landon Johnson, Addison McVey, Connor Ralls, Lauren Risenhoover; and 9 great-grandchildren.

A visitation for Harry will be held Wednesday, July 26, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. Following the visitation will be a memorial service at 2:00 PM at Grand View Funeral Home & Memorial Park/Bethany Cemetery, 8501 Spencer Highway, Pasadena, Texas 77505.
