Harry Dene McDougald

Harry Dene McDougald, 79, of Baytown, TX, passed away on September 29, 2018. Born in Bastrop, Louisiana to Clyde and Ressie McDougald on October 19, 1938, Harry created an exciting yet humble life which most was shared with his wife, Carolyn, of 57 years.

Harry was a vegetable garden enthusiast and an avid fisherman for outdoor recreation. When indoors, Harry enjoyed watching old westerns on TV. He was a hard worker and instilled a solid work ethic in his children, raising them alongside him while also building his business. He was a man that followed God and taught his children to do the same. He adored his wife Carolyn and always put her needs and wants ahead of his own.

Harry Dene McDougald is preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Ressie McDougald; son, John Carl; sisters, Betty Smith and Catherine Gardner; brothers, Charles and Donald “Hoppy” McDougald.

Harry is survived by wife, Carolyn Wallace McDougald; sons, Rusty McDougald and wife Robin, Shannon McDougald and wife Jennifer; daughter, April Henry and husband Norman; grandchildren, David McDougald and wife Nicole, Kayla Moore and husband Andy, Erika Wallace and husband Levi, Trevor, Michael and wife Sam, Kenady, Justice, Marissa, Ashley, Ashton and Aidan; great-grandchildren; Brooke, Charley, Hailey, Carter, Bryson, Paisley and Hazel.

Pallbearers will be: Rusty, Shannon, David, Andy, Norman and Michael.

Honorary Pallbearers will be: Ashton, Aidan, Dallas, Bon, Meho, Trevor and Damian.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, October 2, 2018 from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Grand View Funeral Home.

A Celebration of Life will be held Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at 12:30 PM in Grand View Chapel.
