I started at Arthur Andersen in May of 1984.  Ginny was one of the secretaries who sat in the office behind my pit.  My first memory of Ginny was as a staff person needing something typed.  I was under the gun and needed it done that day.  Ginny shared an office with Joanne (sadly I don't remember her last name).  I walked into their office at about 4:55PM and they were sitting with their purses in hand ready to leave.  No, neither of them offered to stay late and help me out.  I was pissed.  I have never forgotten that.  I don't think Ginny ever knew about how I felt about that event.  I didn't hold it against her.   

I continued at Andersen and Deloitte and we worked together almost my entire career as she retired a few years before I did.  We always got along.  She was always friendly, helpful, and supportive of me (but for that one night!!).  

After seeing all the pictures of Ginny and her family, I have come to one important conclusion about that night in 1984 and about Ginny.  Ginny had her priorities straight from the very beginning:  Family first.  It was quitting time and that was her boundary.   She clearly had something more important to do and she was going to do it.  It took me a heck of a lot longer to learn that boundary.  

I am grateful to have known and worked with Ginny for so many years.  She was a solid and strong person.  I know she will be missed.  May God bless and keep her family.

I was blessed to have met Ginny when I was at Andersen.  When she decided to retire early from Deloitte, I was privileged to take her spot and reunite with my Andersen family again.  Ginny was one of a kind ~ always so kind and loving.  She was funny as ever when we saw each other at a Deloitte event.  May you Rest in Peace my friend.  May God give her family strength and peace during this difficult time.  Love you Ginny!

Prayers of comfort and strength for the family. I am speechless. Ginny truly did put everyone before herself. My heart aches for you all. So many cherished memories with Ginny... some so sweet and some so hilariously funny. Ginny was simply the Best.

My condolences to Ginny’s family. I knew Ginny for many years during our time at Arthur Andersen and Deloitte. She was always willing to help others and always had a sweet demeanor.  She loved working for Jeff Walker at Andersen and then Deloitte.   We enjoyed Andersen functions. She loved her family, especially her children. She will be missed. May she rest in peace.

She was always “Mrs. Ginny” to me, but at a time in my life she was so much more. She was like a bonus mom to me. She’s the reason my childhood was filled with so much creativity, freedom, and bravery. She let Eva and I explore our minds and preform dance shows for the whole neighborhood. Even if that meant re arranging the living room! She would make the best chicken and dumplings, I remember that being a specialty. She also taught me how to get chlorine out of my eyes with milk when Eva and I would spend hours in the pool during the summer. The pool, where I learned how to swim, played mermaids, and once again choreographed dance moves. She was always there to watch us, our audience of one. Mrs. Ginny gave me so many memories I’ll forever be beyond grateful to have! Now being 22, I know how blessed I was to have her growing up. My condolences go out to all who are grieving right now. She was and is an amazing woman who loved so big and openly.
