Gilberto Martinez

Gilbert O Martinez, 58, of Pasadena, Texas passed away on March 20, 2017. Gilbert was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather and friend. He enjoyed spending time outside, fishing and feeding his birds. He was an avid sports fan and supported the home teams most of all the Houston Texans, but deep down he was a Raiders fan. In his free time he enjoyed BBQing and listening to his favorite Tejano and Motown artists. His family will remember that he was always good for a short road trip to Corpus Christi or San Antonio so he could get a new hat or some great sausage. Left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 42 years, Debbie, his mother Esther Cazares, his daughters; Desiree & Robert LaFrance Jr., Demetria & Manuel Garcia and Deborah & Salvador Arrona, his grandchildren Robert LaFrance III and Aria Arrona, his siblings: Genaro Martinez Jr., Becky and Gary Tristan and Geneva and Francisco Diaz as well as countless other family members and friends. Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 23, 2017 from 5-9PM and the funeral service will commence at 11AM of Friday, March 24, 2017. All services will take place in the Grand Chapel at Funeraria Del Angel in Pasadena and interment will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery on Almeda Genoa in Houston.
