Genevieve Della Langham, 94, passed away on March 15, 2013 in Pasadena, TX. She was born on April 7, 1918 in Spooner, Wisconsin to William Leroy and Jennie Coleman. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 57 years, Olan Langham and siblings: Leola, Henry, Howard, Wayne, and twin sister Geneva. Genevieve was a very talented person - an artist, gourmet cook and gardener were among many talents. It could be said that she was the first Martha Stewart. She retired from Deer Park Independent School District in 1980 after serving 20 years as a cafeteria manager. Holidays were a favorite time for Genevieve because she was surrounded by all of her family. She made the holidays special for everyone with her fabulous decorations, delicious baking, and beautiful flowers. Genevieve was a devoted Christian woman who loved her family whole heartedly. She was an exceptional wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. While she will be dearly missed by all who loved her, she will remain in our hearts and all around us in the paintings, pottery, poetry, recipes, and most importantly the memories she left with us.
