Reverend Gary Chapin arrived on this earth in St. Petersburg, Florida on March 12, 1939 to parents Wilmer and Emalou Ottie Chapin, and moved to the home prepared for him in Heaven on February 23, 2020.
He is survived by his wife of nearly 60 years, Annese T. Chapin, daughter Cathy and husband David L. Wilson, daughter Karen Chapin, son Allen and wife Angela along with grandsons Alex & Austin Chapin, sister Martha and husband Jerry Tadlock, brother Dale and wife Deborah Chapin, brother-in-law Dorsey and wife Shirley Tadlock, brother-in-law Danny Tadlock, and self-adopted Texas family Todd and Lora along with daughters Kaitlyn and Chloe Stegner.
Gary graduated from Northeast High School in St. Petersburg, Florida. He received his ministerial training at Southeastern University of the A/G in Lakeland, Florida. He also received his Bachelor of Arts in Education from Troy State University in Troy, Alabama.
He was ordained by the General Council of the Assemblies of God in the Peninsula Florida District in 1964. Over his many years of ministry, Gary faithfully served in the following ministries:

His hobbies included reading, photography and deer hunting, but his real passion was preaching and teaching the Word of God... “What does ‘THE Book’... God’s Holy Word.. the Bible say?”
