Garland Robert Ford, Jr. 72 of Deer Park, Texas was born April 27, 1949 in Fort Riley, Kansas to Garland Robert Ford and Matilda Gessner Ford and passed away on Wednesday, September 29, 2021. He was a wonderful husband and father; hardworking and honest. He enjoyed taking his family on road trips, fishing and just being with his wife and kids. He enjoyed collecting baseball cards with his sons. He was a do-it-yourself kind of man and could fix just about anything. He was a plant manager for Baker Hughes and served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War.
Garland is survived by his wife of 50 years, Florence; his 2 sons, Damon Ford and wife, Layla; Danton Ford; 2 grandchildren, Dillon and Kayla Ford; his sister, Barbara Boyce along with his niece, Tracy Herrera and nephew, Paul Ford.
He is preceded in death by his father, Garland Robert Ford Sr. and mother, Matilda Gessner Ford and brother, Edward King.
Funeral services will be held 2:00pm Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at Grand View Funeral Home with Jesse Robinson, Dillon Ford, James Harrison, Damon Ford, Danton Ford and Keith Price serving as pallbearers.
