Fred was born in Bremerton, Washington to parents Harold Victor and Shirley Dunn Johnson. He passed away in a fatal motorcycle accident. Ironically, he was doing one of the things he most loved to do which was riding his Harley. Fred had always had a love for motorcycles, four wheelers and all types of recreational vehicles. This love goes way back to when he was just a kid and he used to ride around the backyard on his mini-bike. His son Tyler had recently began to ride motorcycles with him and it was something they enjoyed doing together. He loved being outside and his neighbors could always find him puttering around in his garage working on his friend’s bikes and four wheelers. Cole and his father shared a love of music in fact, Cole choose the play list of songs for this celebration of life.
Fred grew up in Lake Dallas, Texas and went to High School in Lewisville, Texas. He moved to Houston with his parents and younger sister in 1976. It was in Houston at a party that he met the love of his life, Jo Nicastro. They married and had two wonderful sons, Tyler Michael and Cole Matthew. Fred was blessed to have many many friends…his personality was like a magnet and you couldn’t help but be drawn to him. He was larger than life and lived every day to the fullest! Fred loved to take chances and risks from a very early age. We are not sure how many lives he actually had but it for sure was more than nine!!!
Fred was preceded in death by his parents, Harold Victor and Shirley Dunn Johnson. He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years Jo Nicastro Johnson, his son’s Tyler Michael Johnson and Cole Matthew Johnson.
