Floys Dean Mosteit

Floys “Dean” Mosteit, 93 of La Porte, TX went to Heaven on January 4, 2024, to be with the love of her life and husband Dan in time to celebrate what would be their 73rd wedding anniversary on January 5th.

Dean was preceded in death by her parents Leo Cherry and Mattie Lou Cherry, her seven siblings, her son Michael Mosteit, and her son-in-law Rod Booth.

She leaves behind her son David Mosteit (Kathy), daughters Danette Ehlinger (Ronnie), Cheryl Booth, and daughter-in law-Carol Mosteit. Grandchildren Jason Crawford (Twyla), Niki Fischer (Scott), Dustin Mosteit, Haylie Mosteit, Kasey Tekippe (Tim), Chris Wolf (Angela), Joshua Mosteit, Landon Ehlinger (Tracy), Lauren Austin (Joey), Cole Ehlinger (Nicole). Great-grandchildren Kanyon, Brawley, Laramie, Tyler, Skylar, Bryce, Ryan, Miles, Karrington, Campbell, Lincoln, Paige, Alyson, and great-great-granddaughter Sonora. All of which she was so proud of.

In her free time, Dean enjoyed reading, playing games, and crocheting. She was known for baking delicious pies. Dean was also involved in the rodeo field. She will be remembered as a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend.

The family wants to thank her wonderful caregivers that made her life more comfortable the last few years.

A visitation for Dean will be held Tuesday, January 9, 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM with a Celebration of Mass beginning at 10:00 at St. Helen's Catholic Church, 2209 Old Alvin Road, Pearland, Texas 77581. She will be laid to rest at 1:00 PM at Grand View Memorial Park, 8501 Spencer Highway, Pasadena, Texas 77505.
