Florian Christopher Demny, of Pasadena, Texas, died on June 27, 2014. He was 88. He was born on October 16,1925 in Orchard, Texas. In 1948 he married Clara Krolczyk, and together they had 5 children, Joan (Schoen), Susan (Anderson), Irene (Orr), Virginia (Furstenberg) and David. He served in the United States Air Force during WWII. Florian worked at Shell Oil for 45 years in the refining division. He was a devout member of the St. Juan Diego Catholic Church and attended daily mass with a strong devotion to the rosary. He will be greatly missed. He is survived by daughter Joan, son-in-law Ken Schoen and grandson Matthew; daughter Susan and son-in-law Rick Anderson; daughter Irene and son-in-law Richard Orr; daughter Virginia and son-in-law John Furstenberg and granddaughters Terese and Clare; son David and daughter-in-law Ann Blake Demny and grandchildren Paul, John, Mary and Sara; 2 great grandsons Ethan and Jase. He is survived by his brothers Leroy, Eugene and Don and sister Mildred. He is preceded in death by his father Alex and mother Emma; brothers John, Robert and wife Clara.
