Flora Nadine Young, born July 23, 1932 in South Houston, Texas, passed away on December 24, 2010. She is survived by her daughter, Priscilla Wells & husband Jimmie Wells, Jr. of Houston; two grandchildren, Christopher Wells and Heather Wells; sister, Margaret Ellen Menzie; as well as numerous other extended family members. Flora is preceded in death by her parents Robert Milton Avitts and Flora Brown Avitts; her husband Joe Young; and brother, Robert Avitts, Jr. A visitation will be held at Grand View Funeral Home in Pasadena, Texas on Tuesday evening from 5PM – 8PM. A funeral service will be held in the chapel of Grand View Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 29 at 2PM. Interment will be at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Apple Springs, Texas on Thursday, December 30 at 2PM.
