Eva Nell Reed Willis was born on July 27, 1938 in Sidney (Comanche County) TX. She passed from this life after a long battle of dementia. She is preceded in death by her father James F. Reed and her mother Lydia Jane Smith Reed.
She married the love of her life Ollin Willis on September 12, 1958. She then moved with her husband to Pasadena, TX where they remained for the next 65 years. She was a housewife until her daughters had married. Then she went to work with Palais Royal for 20 years in the fur department. When Palais Royal sold their fur department to Sakowitz Fur, she went with it. She continued her place as a furrier for another 18 years.
She is survived by her husband Ollin A. Willis, Jr., her two daughters Connie Sue Sanders and her husband Charles of Antlers, Ok, and Debra Kay Morse and husband Wayne of Pasadena, Tx…along with seven grandchildren: LaShonda (Smith) Crane, William Scott Smith, Stephen Walter Smith (Debbie), Stuart Spencer Smith (Lizzie), Tori Stinson (Todd), Heather Smith (Adam), and Kevin Morse. Great grandchildren; Kameron Crane (Ashley), Winston, Caroline and Tucker Smith, Lily and Lucas Smith, and Ryder and Reagan Smith. Not to mention several relatives and many cherished friends she loved so well.
On behalf of the family, we would like to thank Lucy Timberlake for providing her loving care over of the past 6 months. Words cannot express how thankful we are for her.
So we are gathered here together today to celebrate the life of Eva Nell Willis – wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend surrendering her to our Lord, Jesus Christ.
A visitation for Eva will be held Friday, August 2, 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Grand View Funeral Home, 8501 Spencer Highway, Pasadena, TX 77505. A funeral service will occur Saturday, August 3, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, 8501 Spencer Highway, Pasadena, TX 77505. A committal service will occur Saturday, August 3, 2024 at 11:00 AM, 8501 Spencer Highway, Pasadena, TX 77505.
Serving as pallbearers are Wm. Scott Smith, Stephen Walter Smith, S. Spencer Smith, Todd Stinson, Kevin Morse and Adam Smith.
