Eva M. Rangel passed away on March 3, 2011 in Pasadena, TX at the age of 81. She was born the youngest of 11 children on May 21, 1929 in Leander, TX to Jose Angel Munoz and Evarista Tristan-Munoz. Eva is preceded in death by her parents; all of her siblings; her husband of 30 years, Vebronio Rangel; son, Juan Rangel; daughter-in-law, Elsa E. Rangel; and son-in-law, Felix Rodriguez, Jr.. She is survived by 4 children, Joe David Munoz; Febronio Rangel, Jr.; Isabel Rodriguez; Dolores Sanchez and her husband Jesus; 13 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren. Eva has resided in Pasadena since 1971. She was a member of St. Pius V Catholic Church since 1983. Eva was an active senior in her community. She participated in many activities at the Madison Jobe Senior Center and was delighted when she went with her senior friends on their planned trips. She was a beautiful lady and once crowned Valentine Queen of the Sweethearts by the office on aging. Eva loved gardening, crocheting, and music. She especially loved dancing and even once played in a Kitchen Band. Eva adored her family as they adored her. She leaves behind a treasured legacy of love and spirit for life.
The family will receive friends for visitation from 5:00-8:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 6, 2011 at Grand View Funeral Home with a Rosary being recited at 6:00 p.m. A funeral mass will be held on Monday, March 7, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Pius V Catholic Church in Pasadena, TX with interment to follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
