Era Mae Barnhart, 86, died December 18th, 2016 after a 16 year battle with Alzheimer, in Katy, Texas. Born in Shreveport, LA, June 27, 1930, she was a resident of Galena Park since 1960, where she provided a loving home for her children, turtles, and flowers. She is survived by her two daughters, Donna Honeycutt and husband Dennis of Katy, Jana and husband Mike Benoit of Crosby, TX and son, Alan Barnhart and his wife Gisselle of Colleyville, TX, and sister, Jaqueline Siebenlist.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Joe Lee Barnhart, granddaughter, Ashley Barnhart, and sister, Marion Monroe. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Ryan Barnhart, Trey & Jole’ Honeycutt and Karlee Grider, great grandchildren, Brody and Jonah Barnhart.
Visitation will be from 1:30-2:30 P.M. on Thursday at Grand View Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 P.M. on Thursday, December 23, 2016 at Grand View Funeral Home. Interment, Grand View Memorial Park.
