Ellen Grace Rogers Cain, a long-time resident of Deer Park passed away December 20th, 2020. She was born January 10, 1935 in Edna, Texas. She was a gifted athlete and also a cheerleader graduating from Deer Park High School in 1953. She married her high school sweetheart Leonard Cain in August of 1953. She was employed by DPISD for 26 years as an attendance clerk at Deepwater and Bonnette Jr. Highs.
She is preceded in death by her parents Hubert and Maude Rogers along with her 9 siblings.
She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Leonard Cain; daughter Monta Gayle Symcox of Seabrook; son Ralph Cain and wife Loretta of Pasadena, Texas; three grandsons Dustin Cain and wife Misty, Logan Pinion and wife Nora, and Jeremy Cain and wife Ragan; 6 great-grandchildren Colton, Connor, and Cailin Cain, Brady and Aubree Cain, and Jackson Pinion.
A visitation will be held at Grand View Funeral Home on 8501 Spencer Hwy, Pasadena, TX on Monday, December 28, 2020 from 5-8 PM. A celebration of Ellen’s life will be held on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at 10 AM in the chapel of Grand View Funeral Home, with burial to follow.
