Earnest Willard Lamell, was born on June 12, 1924, in Pineland, TX and passed away peacefully at his home on December 20, 2010, in LaPorte, TX. He is preceded in death by his parents, Bud and Virginia Lamell. Earnest was a long-time employee of Exxon and loved his family, umpiring, baseball and dancing. He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Sue Lamell; children, Ginger Lella and husband John, Donna Lamell, Craig Lamell, Gary Lamell and wife Christine and Kristi Lamell; grandchildren, Lenice, Heather and husband John, Lee and wife Cindy, Grant, Curtis, Christopher and Letisha and husband Aaron; great-grandchildren, Margo, Damian, Shelby, Chance, Dylan and Corryn; brother, Henry Lamell and wife Mary Ann; nieces, Deedee and Cheryl and numerous loving family members and friends. A wake will be held on Wednesday, December 22, 2010, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a rosary to be recited at 5:30 p.m. at Grand View Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, December 23, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery, 6900 Lawndale Ave., Houston, TX 77023.
