Dolores always wanted to make Momma and Daddy happy and proud, whenever left at home she would always complete some small chore or task for Momma as a treat, so it would be one less thing for her to do.
Dolores always took her role as eldest seriously and always tried to set a good example for her brothers and sisters. By being a good student and person and reminding them that she was the boss.
She was the first to move out into her own apartment. To her brothers and sisters, it was so glamorous and they loved to spend the night with her. She always tried to make it special. She always had a small something for them and their favorite treat.
Dolores realized her dream of becoming a mother with the arrival of Paul. She loved being a mother and having the house full of his friends and laughter. She always supported his love of sports, especially his favorite soccer. She was so proud that Paul graduated college and became a coach and recruiter. She was thrilled when Paul and Meredith married and loved Meredith as her own daughter.
Dolores loved to watch movies and mysteries on channels such as Hallmark. But her favorite was EWTN The Catholic Channel.
Dolores had many titles. Daughter, Sister, Wife and Mother but her favorite was Grandma. In fact, it is rumored that Harper was the answer to all of her many prayers.
She loved living with Paul, Meredith and Harper. She loved getting to see Harper every day! Dolores always loved animals. She always fed all the stray cats! But her favorite was Tucker. She thought he was the best dog ever. Paul would fuss at her for giving Tucker too many treats! But she had to give everyone a treat to brighten their day. Even the dog.
Living with Paul, Meredith and Harper were the happiest years of her life. She became friends with his friend and became a grandma to his players. She made sure they all had a treat when she saw them.
She loved to see people happy and smiling. Anytime you visited her you were going to get your favorite treat.
Dolores died on October 31, 2023. Preceded in death by her parents Frank and Maime Wetuski, brother James Wetuski, sister Rose Albanese and sister-in-law Lynn Wetuski.
She is survived by her son Paul, daughter-in-law Meredith and granddaughter Harper Grant. sister Helen and David Black, sister Linda and Duane Sims, sister Karen Sue Hartman, brother John Wetuski, and brother Frank and Danette Wetuski. As well as numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
