Dollie Sue Talmadge, 88, of Pearland, TX passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 12, 2018. She was born in Center, TX on October 24, 1929 to Edward Neal Rogers and Nell Ruth Smith. She was married to her first and only true love, Oliver Talmadge for 46 years. Dollie worked as a teacher’s aide for several years before committing to a long and distinguished career with the Lubrizol Corporation. She was a longstanding member of Southside and Parkview Churches of Christ. Dollie was an accomplished singer, having studied music at the University of North Texas, SMU and she also attended Baylor and SFA. Her love of music was evident almost every day of her life. Breaking out into song or a little happy dance was not uncommon for Dollie.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Oliver and is survived by her son, Neal Talmadge and wife Cindy; daughters, Melissa Kutta, and Amanda White and husband Bobby. Five loving grandchildren, Doug Kutta and wife Laetitia, Julia Paige Lay and husband Coy, Trevor Talmadge, Evan White and wife Hannah and Tera Talmadge; great grandchildren, Cannon and Kennedy Lay, Oliver and soon-to-arrive-on-the-scene Graham White.
