Della Grace Bolt

Della was born in Berkley Springs, West Virginia on January 6th,1933. Her parents, Regina and Frank Vanorsdale, along with her brothers and sisters, ran their family farm. Eventually, in her later years, Della made her way to Pasadena Texas and married Guy Marion Bolt.

Della is survived by her 2 daughters, Henrietta Purcell (Brian) of California and Della Mae Bryant (Robert) of Woodville Texas. Her grandchildren include Heather Wessels (Craig) of Cypress TX, Adam Wiggins of New York, Mark Stewart of Houston TX, Josh Stewart (Kristin) of La Marque TX, Laila Shahi of NV, and Alia Shahi of CA.

Her grandchildren were the heartlights of her life. She was their “Mema”. Della had many great-grandchildren as well. Lane and Riley Wessels, Jonathan Daniel Stewart, Cole Daniel Stewart, all of TX, Hayden Shahi of CA, and Gianna, Nicky, and Michael of NV. She considered herself blessed many times over to have so many beautiful children to love. They brought much joy and happiness to her life.

Della was preceded in death by her husband Guy Marion Bolt, her infant son James Purcell, her daughters, Darlene Wiggins (Kenneth), and Christine Gerstenberger (Michael Wayne), her grandson Chance Hausinger and grandson Aaram Shahi.

Our mother was a kind and caring person always helpful to others. She was well loved by family and friends. Her strong faith and indomitable spirit carried her through raising 5 children as a single mom. She was an amazing cook and we all enjoyed her kitchen creations and the laughter and warmth around her table. The mark she left in this world was one of unconditional love. She will always be in our hearts forever as Love.

Services for Della Grace Bolt will be at Grand View Funeral Home at 8501 Spencer Hwy., Pasadena Texas 77505. A viewing begins from 1 to 2pm, followed by a 2pm service, and 3pm burial.
