its Joseph Moncatch I sure do miss Deanna I remember going to church with her and yall would dress me up nice and me and Deanna always talked alot in  the driveway in spring I forgot the neighborhood name but I remember it was Aldine Westfield. I miss her so much

Deanna, my friend, how is this possible?..  Six years tomorrow since you’ve been gone and left such a large void in my heart.  I’ll never forget you. Some people don’t experience the type of friendship we’ve had in their whole lifetime... but it doesn’t hurt any less. I know how happy you are with Jesus, I cannot wait to see you again.

Another year without you, my friend. And this year we lost one more, Julia. I can’t fathom the thought of my best college friends gone. Watch out for me, my sweet Deanna.   Life isn’t easy without friends like you. 

I think of you often. I dream of you. You meant more to me than anyone ever knew. Oh the memories of our teen years flood back. If I could only see you one more time...

Haven't forgotten my friend. I walked through our Cheesecake Factory where we would hang out as college students eating that raspberry Godiva cheesecake, all 1000 calories worth. You always got that lemonade. But what I really remembered was that I could talk to you for hours. Hours. Hours. About everything. About deep things of life. I miss doing that and there aren't many people who can do that.. . I know you would understand. One day I long to see you.

Never forgotten, my friend. I am sad I don't have you in my life anymore. I wish I had more time with you.  I wish I could have my friend back. You mean more to me than I ever let you know.

Deanna gave of herself, her spirit and her world of words, as poet and wordsmith.  She encouraged and challenged her writing.com family and peers to bring forth the best in ourselves, as did she. I know she now walks among angels, but Deanna's voice remains a lyric echo in this mortal realm.

Deanna meant so much to me, personally, as well as to so many people at Writing.com. She worked hard and was very involved with several different groups and activities. She started her own group to support those of us with mental illnesses, such as depression and bipolar disorder. She brought much encouragement and joy to all who knew her. I will miss her greatly. Please know that she was a huge influence here at Writing.com, and she will be missed by all who knew her.

Deanna was a great girl. I knew her from Writing.com. Deanna knew me as Elizabeth there. She was a good friend to me. I didn't know everything about her, but what I did, made me realize how blessed I was to have her in my life. We laughed and cried together, even though we were in two different places. She brought a smile to my face and I loved her a lot. I wish I would have told her I got married sooner. I will never forget you Deanna! You will always have a special place in my heart.

I'm sorry to say that I didn't really know Deanna. I have read many of her poems she posted on a writing website. She was a very gifted writer and her love of God showed in her writing. Every Christmas evening I will remember delivering Christmas dinner to the homeless with Deanna, Lyndsay and my mom.  Deanna had such a passion for the less fortunate.  I am SO grateful to have had her in my life...until we meet again Deanna....and we WILL meet again!!
