David was a credit to his profession and a source of strength and admiration to many, he was warm, caring and an all-around good human being. For all these reasons he was known to his family and friends as a hero. Whether it was words of encouragement, wisdom or comfort, David naturally knew which recipe to cook up to offer insight and clarity to anyone in need. He was an amazing talent. Whether it came to planning jobs for his crew, mechanical work for his family and friends or grilling the perfect carne asada, David was the best man for the job. As a father he knew the importance of making his children feel relevant, loved and safe; he excelled in all three. Advice, a shoulder to cry on, a tight embrace, or a warm heart to shelter them from the cold world, David was there. He was and remains an inspiration and lived as the epitome of what a man should strive to be.
David is survived by his wife Casey Welch-Guerra, he was her Knight in shining armor- well, actually her Knight in jean shorts and a Houston Rockets/Texans shirt but for a romantic spin, we’ll go with the armor; his six children, Jacob, Jazmine, Jalissa, (aka pinche Hippies) Jiselle, Julianna, and Journee; his oldest brother Epifanio Guerra and his wife Sonia; his older brother Daniel Guerra and his wife Christina; his sister Karina Welch and her husband and dear friend to him, Alvin; his grandchildren, Mia and Ariellah; and his many nieces, nephews and friends; all of whom he adored and consistently showered with love and affection.
Anheuser-Busch and liquor companies are also devastated by the loss of David, but his friends and family (of legal age) will continue to support these businesses, as this is what our David would want.
David lived an honorable, interesting and memorable existence. He lived and died a Hero but is only gone physically; his love, memory and spirit can and will never be extinguished.
