

Darrell B. “Red” Chapman passed away on December 7, 2010 in Pasadena, TX. He was born on August 16, 1935 in Ft. Worth, Texas to the union of Alvis and Euty Chapman. Darrell is preceded in death by his parents, brother, Bill Chapman and sister, LaRue Chapman. He is survived by his loving wife of twenty-eight years, Faye Baker Chapman. Together Darrell and Faye have six children who also survive him: Janet Chapman of San Jose, California, Patricia Corona and husband Bobby of Hayward, California, Richard Baker and wife Debra of Conyers, Georgia, Barbara Jarrell of Houston, Texas, Donna Coe and husband Brett of Pasadena, Texas, Robert Baker and wife Kim of San Antonio, Texas, thirteen grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, a beloved niece, Karen Carver, of Pearland, Texas; as well as a host of loving relatives and friends. “Red” was employed by Bank of The West in California for thirty-eight years and enjoyed every minute of his time there. While there, “Red” took many opportunities to make a big impact at the bank and in the surrounding communities. He loved living in the San Francisco Bay Area and was a huge Oakland Raiders fan. But most of all Darrell loved Faye and their cat, Mooch, and shared stories of that love with anyone who would listen.
The family will receive friends for visitation between the hours of 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. at Grand View Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 p.m. in The Chapel of Grand View Funeral Home, with interment to follow in Grand View Memorial Park.
