Claudia Nikole Vela

Claudia Nikole Vela, of Pasadena, Texas, was called to be with our Lord and Savior on Thursday, November 9, 2023, at the age of 25. Claudia Nikole was born in Houston—Texas, on January 30, 1998. Claudia Nikole is predeceased by her maternal grandparents, Ramon A. Sosa, Jr., Maria Magdalena Sosa, and her paternal grandfather, Jesse Reyes Vela. She is survived by her parents, Claudia Lorena Sosa and Jesse Reyes Vela, Jr., her husband, Roberto Bernal, and her paternal grandmother, Martha Buentello. Claudia Nikole leaves behind four precious children: Nathalia Maria Ramos Vela, age 8; Roberta Nikole Bernal Vela, age 4; Jayden Adrian Luna Sosa, age 2; and Aaliyah Leilani Salazar Vela, age 1. Claudia's memory will be forever cherished by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will hold her close to their hearts.

Claudia was a former student of Pasadena High School, graduating in 2016. Claudia is remembered for her big heart and kind nature. In high school, she was always willing to lend a hand and support her classmates. Claudia had a passion for music and loved singing. She had a dream of writing her song one day. Claudia also enjoyed spending time at the beach, drinking Dr. Pepper, and eating Chinese food. Her favorite color was navy blue, and she loved the red and black buffalo print pattern. Claudia's favorite holiday was Thanksgiving because her favorite dish was the stuffing. She was a loving mom who took great care in planning special celebrations for her children. She loved spoiling them. Her children were her heart and the best part of her life. Claudia’s memory will live on through her children. As her mom said, “She left us a little piece of her in each one of her kids.” Claudia had a tender heart and loved all of her friends. Claudia also had a close bond with her mom, which she cherished deeply. The passing of Claudia has left a deep void that cannot be filled. Everyone who knew her will always remember her with great fondness and love. She will be greatly missed.
