i forgot Mary..the mother i never had ill never forget the care u show to cris and a stranger cris called his friend and brother. thank u for everything aether u remember me or not. maybe one day i will get to c u again. n u and Nicole n Bryce can meet my family that i wanted cris to meet. i have two beautiful girls n another on the way...take care of yourselves much love to the family of my brother. his time was short but well spent :)

this sux i just found out by tryong to find him again...to cris my brother,sorry we never got to hang out again. the time we spent together was a blast. even staying with your aunt in corpus. u showed me what a true friend could be..to Nicole n Bryce IM sorry i never got to meet u. and thank u for being a part of his life...maybe one day i will get to meet the family of my brother. stay strong.

Dear Chris. I hope you're reading this, and watching over everyone. Which I know you are!! I still cannot believe that it's been almost a year dude. It doesn't even seem like a year. Time has passed so quickly, yet so slowly. It's still crazy that you're gone. I talk to Nicole on a daily basis, and we find ourselves talking about you quite often. We sit and talk, late at night, about all the great and fun times that we had, when we all hung out together. I'll never forget meeting you and Nicole on 4th of July weekend, for the crawfish boil. We went over there weekend after weekend for UFC fight nights, just to hang out, have chill time, and drink a few cold one's. It was an amazing time to hang out with you. Please watch over Nicole and Bryce, since the 9th is just a short period of time away. They'll both need you, as well as others. Take care up there. Drink a few cold Corona's! :)

Chris - I know you're up there in Heaven looking down at all of us. We sure do miss you. I talk to your wife, Nicole, every now and then. I just don't know what to say anymore! I'm still speechless. It's still unreal to me! :( Dude - please watch over Bryce Alan and Nicole, amongst every other person. You are dearly missed. I go out and watch some UFC fights, but they're not the same anymore. Now that I'm 21.. I just want to go out with you and Nicole, at least one last time. You used to pick on me all the time; I miss that. I'm sure I speak for many others, but I just want one more day with you - to hang out, joke around, drink some cold ones, go out to eat.. shoot, do anything! It's almost been 2 months! I can't believe that. Just take care of everyone man.

chris, I am your cousin mario aka vince, i may not have known you but judging by the messages all of the prople left you seemed like a terrific guy. ONe i would have been honored to call cousin and friend . we did meet  a couple times when you stayed with your dad. but I would give anything to have thise moments back and to make the most of them. I have a seven year old son who means the world to me and a very supportive woman as long as i do what she says. I have been searching the internet for a month looking up any and all information about you . but I was lucky enough to come across this and see all of the beautiful pictures of your family. I especially liked the disney world pictures, you seemed so happy with your family its hard to wonder why god would want that to end. but i guess it doesn't end when people love you and you love them. it never truly ends it just means your ahead of the game and somday we will catch up with you . we love and miss you god blees holla at you later , your cousin mario mendez JR

Nothing hurts more than to see those who love Chris in so much pain. I pray for Nicole, Bryce and Chris's entire family. God has a plan, and his plan was to choose Chris to be by his side at this time. I think of words to offer for comfort, but choke up and find myself scrabbling on what to say. I can only pray and ask for the pain to ease over time. I'm sorry for the great lose everyone has had to go through. I believe that he will watch over those he loves.

Christopher Lee Brooks. I will never forget you or the memories we all made. I had only known you for about 9 or 10 months, but those were the best yet. Kevin introduced me to you and Nicole back in July. We had some of the best times, some of the best parties, and I will never forget those times we all had with you. I remember when you complained because I wasn't 21 yet, or when we would all go to your house or to a bar to watch the UFC fights. Not to mention, this past Saturday you would have been amazed at the latest fight. No matter what Chris, you will forever be in our hearts. May you rest in peace; you are in a much better place now. We all miss you dearly. Watch over everyone man! You were a great father, husband, son, and friend. No one will ever replace a man like you. Miss you Chris. We know you will always be there in spirit at all of our block parties and having fun with us just like you would do if you were still with us... I never thought that this past new years would be the last big celebration we had, it was seriously the best. And boy oh boy you sure could cook a mad turkey. It was so good. You and Nicole were the best neighbors, and your little Bryce was so cute. I was so happy to have known you and been right across the street from you guys. To Chris's family, We only new Chris, Nicole and Bryce for a few years,He moved onto our street and brought fun and life back to it.He really entertained all of us especially with his firework shows and pool games.We will miss him dearly.We know he is in God's hands now.It was an honor to be his friend.

i am very sorry for your loss! chris and i went to school together and worked together and were good friends! i remember he would scare the crap out of me every time i rode in the thunderbird or white truck with him! he loved to drive fast! haha! and i remember that big white tommy hilfiger jacket he would wear even when it was hot outside.... he was there for me through thick and thin. he was a good friend a great person! i have many memories of him that i will never forget. he was one of my best friends and i will miss him very much!
