Christie “Chris” Lee Allen was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She left this world unexpectedly on August 30, 2023, in Clear Lake City. She is survived by her husband, Gary Allen; her son, Eric Brandon (Brando) Farmer and his wife, Sabrina; her stepson Tyler Allen and his wife, Sierra; her grandson, Jude Farmer; and her step granddaughter and grandson, Jocelyn and Gabe.
She was born to Irvin and Lois Collins on April 28, 1958, in Portland OR. She was the youngest of four sisters: Judy, Michelle, and Gale.
Chris moved to Texas to finish high school in 1975 and has called the Houston area home ever since. In 2001 she met Gary Allen, and they married in 2004. In the last 22 years, the two have been each other’s “rock” and companions.
Chris was a fun, spirited, and adventurous soul. She enjoyed time spent laughing with family and friends, working in the yard, thrifting, riding the motorcycle with Gary, dreaming up plans for her retirement, visiting her son’s family in Colorado; and most of all, ruminating on the state of American politics and government.
Chris was an active and vocal participant of the Republican Party and was also completing her college degree in Behavioral Sciences from the University of Houston. She was a wonderful and dynamic person who will forever be missed by all who loved her and knew her.
A funeral service is scheduled at 1pm on September 12, 2023, at Grand View Funeral Home in Pasadena, TX.
