Carolyn Bludworth Herrera, passed away Saturday January 12th 2019, after a long battle of Post-Polio and Neuro Muscular disease. She was preceded in death by her oldest son Rudy A. Herrera Jr., her mother Georgia Bludworth and her father John Bludworth, II. She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years Rudy A Herrera, Sr., “The Love of Her Life”. She leaves behind her five children, daughters, Monica Childs and husband Fred, Melodie Cook and husband Terry, Mindy Galvan and husband Mark. Her sons, Randy Herrera and wife Natalie and Rusty Herrera, Sr. and wife Gwen. Along with 20 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Patsy Bludworth, her brothers Leonard Bludworth and John Bludworth, III, and numerous relatives. She is a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, The women’s guild of St. Augustine and St. Vincent de Paul. She is a member of [TPSA], Texas Polio Survivors Assoc., [MDA] Muscular Dystrophy Assoc., and [MAA] Myositis Association of America. The family visitation will be Thursday Jan. 17, 2019 from 4:30 pm to 5:30 pm. Public visitation will be from 5:30 pm to 8:00 pm with a Rosary at 6:00 pm at Grand View Funeral Home, 8501 Spencer Hwy, Pasadena, 77505. The Funeral mass will be Friday Jan. 18, 2019 at 10:30 am at St. Augustine Catholic Church, 5560 Laurel Creek Way, Houston 77017, celebrated by Father Dwight Canizares. Interment will be immediately following in Bethany Grandview memorial cemetery.
