Carolyn Sue Hammons, 65, of Pasadena, Texas passed away peacefully on November 6, 2021. Carolyn was born July 20, 1956 in Louisville, KY to Louis Clark and Alberta (Hostetler) Waters. Carolyn enjoyed cooking for her family and loved hosting holiday dinners. She collected Christmas ornaments and always had her house decked out with multiple Christmas trees throughout the holiday season.
A proud Kentucky Wildcat basketball fan, she also enjoyed watching NASCAR and professional football with her husband as they cheered on the Indianapolis Colts. She will always be remembered for wearing her turtlenecks and sweatshirts, even in the middle of hot Texas summers. Carolyn had worked as a Phlebotomist for 25 years, but most recently worked at Steadfast Daycare where she enjoyed her time working with the kids.
She is survived by her husband of 20 years and high school sweetheart, Thomas (Steve); her son Robert Baker and wife, Jessica; son Jason Baker and wife, Amanda; and daughter-in-law, Faith Waters; her grandchildren, Alexis Brown, Bryonna Ortiz, Jordyn Waters, Kaydence Baker, Payton Waters, Bryan Baker and Carrington Baker; her brothers, Dwight Waters, Louis Waters, Henry Waters and Glenn Waters along with many other extended family and friends.
Carolyn is preceded in death by her parents, Louis Clark and Alberta Waters, her son, Bryan Michael Waters and grandson, Austin Clark Waters.
