Carol Brookover

September 3, 1939 – June 29, 2016

Carol Ann Brookover, age 76, passed away June 29, 2016 in Houston. She is preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Paul, and her parents, George and Helen Preece. Carol is survived by her children Don Brookover and wife Laura of Semmes, Alabama, Sheryl LaLonde and husband Tom of Pearland, and Sue Haase and husband Tim of Pasadena, grandchildren and great-grandchildren Michael LaLonde of Houston, Kimberly Landis and husband Tim and their daughters Sydney and Reagan and son Jaxon, Matthew LaLonde of Pasadena, Joshua Haase of Pasadena, Hanna Reynolds and husband William and their soon to be "Little Peanut" of Mobile, Alabama, Magen Haase and fiance Justin Halewyne of Pasadena, and Emilee Brookover of Semmes, Alabama. She is also survived by siblings Virginia Cervenka of Houston, George Preece and wife Carol of Stonewall, and Sylvia Goss of Pasadena and her beloved "puppy-dogs" Maggie, Molly, and Missy.

Carol has lived in the Houston area all her life. She and her husband, Paul, raised 3 children who gave them 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. She retired after 30 years from the University of Houston. She enjoyed having family get-togethers, going fishing, volunteering with her Sunday school class, going on cruises, and taking numerous casino trips with family and friends! She had a giving heart and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
