Carl Leon Young was born on August 6, 1934 and earned his angel wings on November 8, 2018. He leaves this earthly life to sit beside our Savior. Survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Linda; two daughters, Susan Dalton and Karen Craig and husband Charlie; one son, Robert Carl; granddaughters, Jamie Sims and husband Kevin, and Haley Dalton; grandsons, Chad Keeling, Justin Shafer and wife Candice, and Kyle Blankenburg; great-granddaughter, Avery Sims; great-grandsons, Ethan Keeling and Jordan Shafer; very special niece and nephew, Angela and Tommy Edge; and so many other family and friends.
Everyone that knew him, loved him and he loved everyone, but he loved his wife mightily. He taught his family to treat everyone with respect. He did not meet a stranger and always had a story to tell. He loved his church family and loved singing in church. He will be greatly and forever missed.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, November 14th at 1:00 p.m. at Grand View Funeral Home and Memorial Park/Bethany Cemetery, 8501 Spencer Highway, Pasadena, Texas, 77505. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent in Carl's name to “30 for Ana” – honoring Ana Barron Garcia to raise awareness of IBC and enduring the pain of running 30 miles, all while raising funds for The Rose.
