Tracie, Mom and I have soooo may great memories with you guys.  Mr. Hilton and those beagles, Mrs. Hilton and the time that she saved us from the angry driver....(after we threw a couple of rocks towards the car)...Steve and his fabulous car(s)....and Debbie with her totally awesome and caring personality and long beautiful hair, always doing for others. Bill was one of my favorite classmates and he was always a great addition to our 1949 class luncheons and reunions.  He and Joyce were very special to me and great friends.  He will be missed by so many of his former high school friends.  What a great example of a Texas Aggie!  I always loved his phone answering message.  What a great guy! Joyce, may our loving heavenly Father continue His watch-care over you and grant you peace and grace sufficient during this time of mourning.  Many love you and will be there for you when needed. Though I didn't know him I can tell from reading his obituary that he passed along a lot of his traits to his son and knowing you, I'm sure he was a wonderful father. After reading through the guest book and your dad's obituary it is clear to see what a true man of his word he was.  Honor and Integrity are 2 qualities your dad obviously possessed. Steve, I see the same qualities in you. Your dad did good.

I, too, remember Uncle Bill mostly from the holidays that we all shared at Grandmas house for the holidays. The "big" Thanksgiving football game of the Aggies and that other team. I don't ever remember seeing him without a smile or a kind word. I am so sorry for your loss. I truly wish I could be there with you. You are in my thoughts and prayers. (Hugs)

Billy was a true gentleperson who was just an all around great guy.  I knew him for many years as he was my brother-in-law's brother-in-law.  I never heard him say an unkind word about anyone.  The world was a better place because of him. I will keep his family in my prayers and will always remember what a great person he was.  Rest in peace.

In all the years I have known my dad, I never knew of anyone that could say an unkind word about him. My father taught me respect, honor, dignity, and pride in one's self. I am the man I am today because of the role model he demonstrated on a daily basis. What I am today I owe to the examples he demanded of himself and others.

He was also a most honorable man. A handshake from my dad was worth more than any signature on a legal document. I also never knew him to not help anyone that came to him for advice or direction.

Dad was a perfectionist in everything he did. I would often tell my mother that I would be happy to help him with any task as long as he was not there to help me. Whenever my dad did something you could bet that it was correct and perfect. I saw these examples in many of the things we did together, be it working on the car to building a pier at his lake house. It may not have been the prettiest pier, but you could not have found a more perfect pier had you cut it with a laser.

Dad - Thank you for always being there for me through the wonderful experiences of my life to include Boy Scouts, Little League, my marriage to Susan, and the birth of both of my children.     

Thank you for all the life lessons you taught me. I hope in your eyes that I never disappointed you and I have lived up to your expectations.

Aunt Joyce,
               My Uncle, along with yourself, has been at every major event in my life, from graduations, to marriage, to first born.  It is for this reason, along with many others, that me and my family attend the last major event in his life with not only a great deal of gratitude, respect and admiration but an even greater amount of sorrow.  He may no longer be in our lives but his memory will forever be with us.  Although he will be greatly missed, we can all take comfort knowing that when it is our time and we crossover to the other side we will be met by all our loved ones who have gone before us, to include Uncle Billy who will be standing there, hunched over, with those thick black rimmed glasses, and that welcoming smile that we have all come to recognize and will greatly miss.

I have so many memories of my Uncle Billy. He always tried to persuade me to go to the great university when I got older but was supportive when I chose not too. I love and miss you!

The fondest memories I have of Uncle Bill is when we were young children at Grandma's house at holidays. 
He would act out funny skits like the road runner. Tease us play with us, hide Easter eggs. 
He  was instrumental in THE reason I went to Texas A&M.  I always admired him and Aunt Joyce for their loyalty to A&M. Today  I am proud to be among the best thanks to his influence and support.  The world has been a better place because you wore born Uncle Bill.  You will be greatly missed.

So very sorry for your loss. So many memories flood my mind from Christmas' to Thanksgivings' and days in between. Every time Harper (our grandson) sings or hums the Aggie War Hymn I will think of Uncle Billy.

Mr. Hilton was never known as Mr. Hilton or Bill Hilton to us. He was always known as Papa. 

I think the earliest memory that I have of him is him coming down to College Station to show us around the Texas A&M University campus and letting us meeting Reveille. Every football season we would visit TAMU and walk through the campus and listen to his stories of when he was a student there. We would have the coolest things to talk about. 

He has been a powerful part of my life and he will be missed. However, I have no doubt that he is in heaven right now looking down at us decked out in every maroon thing he can find watching over us.

Bill was my manager at IBM during the 80's. He was a very special person. He always took the time to listen. He was very particular on how things were suppose to be done. He was respected and loved by many who worked with him through the years. My thoughts and prayers are with his family. He now is in the Prescence of the Lord and probably bringing out his tab cards writing a list of things to do.

The world has lost someone VERY SPECIAL. I know Mr. Hilton (Bill) had many friends, and I am proud to have been one of them. He was like a 2nd dad to me during my high school days - I remember he even scolded me more than a few times. He smiled with his eyes and had a laugh that I can still hear. I know that no words of mine can ease your sorrow, but please know that I am grieving with you and constantly praying that God's love will comfort and strengthen you in the days ahead.
