Betty Lou LaGasse Taylor was born in Broken Bow, Oklahoma on March 26, 1940. She and her older sister Ervaline were raised to know and love the Lord by their wonderful parents Ervin and Wilma LaGasse. She is joining in heaven her parents, her husband Jerry Wayne Taylor, and stepdaughter, Tracy Krumrey.
She is survived by her daughter Kelley McCormick and son-in-law, Frank Cooley; son Kirk Taylor, daughter-in-law Lori Taylor, grandson Logan Taylor, grand-daughter-in-law Fallon Taylor, and great granddaughter Adalyn Taylor; son Kevin Taylor, daughter-in-law Natalie Taylor, and granddaughter Jeri Dawn Taylor; son-in-law Randy Krumrey, granddaughter Andrea Krumrey, granddaughter Summer Foster Zimmer, and grandson Matthew Foster.
Betty married the love of her life, Jerry Wayne Taylor, in July 1963. They had three beautiful children together. Betty and Jerry lived in Houston, Texas where they raised their children and moved to Pasadena, Texas after retiring. In their later years, they were known as “Romeo and Juliet” at the nursing home. They shared a special kind of love that inspired many.
She worked for many years as an administrative assistant until she retired. She loved flowers, butterflies, growing daylilies, exercising, swimming in her pool, and attending arts and craft classes with her friends. However, her most joyous times were always with her family.
Betty had the most beautiful heart and personality. Her gorgeous blue eyes always saw the best in people, found beauty in everything, and she chose to speak only words that promoted positivity and encouragement. She honestly never complained. She was truly wonderful.
She will be greatly missed. However, we are so thankful that she is safe in the arms of Jesus now, with no more pain or suffering. (2 Corinthians 5:8 – Yes, we are fully confident, and we would rather be away from these early bodies, for then we will be at home with the Lord).
Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 21, 2024 from 1:00PM to 2:00PM with a Celebration of Life beginning at 2:00PM at Grand View Funeral Home, 8501 Spencer Highway, Pasadena, Texas 77505. Immediately following she will be laid to rest at Grand View Memorial Park.
In the twilight if eternity, where stars ignite, and dreams take flight. Betty Lou soared beyond the veil of night. Guided toward her love, Jerry waited with tearful eyes on Valentine's night.
In the cosmic meadow, lilies bloom in hues. Divine Betty Lou found her Jerry waiting by the silver vine. Their hands entwined, hearts aflame, they waltzed on moonlit dew. Two souls, once torn by mortal chains, now free in love's debut.
There amid the celestial hues, Betty Lou felt a gentle breeze, she felt her Jerry's gentle touch, as stars knelt on their knees. Betty Lou smiled, her mission complete.
In Heaven's arms, they danced together, their hearts became just one beat. ~ndt
