Betty J. Ferguson

Betty was born in Seguin, Texas on October 6, 1943 to parents Egon and Elsie (Salge) Tausch. Betty grew up in Seguin where she graduated High School in 1962. She then attended Nixon Business College in Austin, Texas. From there, she returned to Seguin where she worked at her home church, Emanuel Lutheran Church, as a secretary. She moved to the Houston area in 1977 where she worked as a legal secretary and later for the City of Pasadena. 

In 1982, Betty married Bryan B. Ferguson who predeceased her in 2005. Together they enjoyed traveling and spending time with family and friends.   

Betty was a faithful and beloved member of the Zion Lutheran Congregation where she loved participating in church activities.  She was also a member of several organizations and clubs.  Betty was an avid reader who also enjoyed spending time on arts and crafts and going for day excursions, and taking care of her cats. 

Betty passed away December 25, 2018. She is survived by cousin, Lorene Kelly and her husband Dwayne; niece, Kelley Farwell, her husband Jay and their children Sarah and Marshall; niece, Kathy Ferguson and her daughter Lena.
