Celebrating the life of Beryl Lynn Bond. Beryl was born on August 20, 1924 in Louisiana to Gladys and Willie Neal. When Beryl was six years old, her family moved to Conroe, Texas. She attended schools in Conroe Independent School District.
Beryl lived in Buna, Texas. She was strong in her faith and was a member of Central Baptist Church. Beryl was married to Warren Bond for 25 years.
Beryl was a homemaker and held a job as a secretary for St. Luke’s Hospital, where she retired in 1992 after 20 years of service. After retiring, she worked at Beaumont Women’s Hospital. Beryl was active in the Children’s Reading School Program. She loved to travel. An important life event for Beryl was traveling to Indonesia in 1992 for 3 months. Her favorite past times were spending time with her grandchildren, watching musical movies, and listening to various show tunes.
Beryl was preceded in death by her parents Gladys and Willie Neal; her sister Patricia Cordier and brother in law Fred Cordier; and her brother J.D. Neal and sister in law Bobbie and son in law J.P. Stanley, husband of Patricia Lynn Stanley.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter Patricia Lynn Stanley, two sons Rex Bond and wife Carol, and Richard Bond and wife Terri; 12 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren; and many special friends – all who loved her.
The family gives a special thank you to San Jacinto Manor for the loving care given to “Nanny” Bond.
A visitation service will be at Grand View Funeral Home, 8501 Spencer Highway, Pasadena, Texas 77505, on Sunday, October 13, 2019 from 5:30pm to 8:00pm. Her funeral service will be on Monday, October 14, 2019 at 2:00pm at Grand View Funeral Home with the committal service on Tuesday, October 15, 2019 at 11:00am at Conroe Memorial Park, 1600 Porter Road, Conroe, Texas 77301.
