This is Tim Goldring, I was so very sorry to hear about the death of your husband Benny. i have tried so many times to email him but they all returned to me even your own email. i also tried to call but  no luck either. it was on this note that i searched the internet and found out about his death.  I can't begin to imagine how difficult this time must be for you and your family. I know Benny was a great man, husband and father and that this loss will leave a great hole in your life. 

Benny was always so kind and helpful. If you'd like, it would be my pleasure to help you in any way possible.

You and Benny were do dear to Mary Ann and me when we were pastoring in Somerville. Benny paid my expenses on a mission trip to Brazil some year ago. We will keep you in our prayers. Love Bill Lipps

It's taken me this long to try and write something here because what do you say about a man that raised you, loved you unconditionally, and only gave you one spanking??? He was a lunatic that's what you'd say!  But like Pam said, the lectures were worse and to disappoint that man was inconceivable.  I do miss you dad and it's because of you that I turned out alright so thank you for that.  I love you!!!!  Tammy

Benny was a dear friend and a grandpa for us. We'll miss him greatly... but you'll have no headaches and your bones won't hurt no more, it's what you wanted and were praying for Benny.

We loved Brother Benny!  He was one of the brightest spots in our year in Presidio.  Our prayers are with you, Audrey.  He was a wonderful man.

It was an honor to call him my friend.  Benny always greeted me with a huge smile, opened arms, was tickled to see me, made me feel appreciated and although he knew me well, he loved me anyway.  He helped a lot of people (including my family) & carried through with his word.  He made my boys feel like royalty & loved all children.  He certainly had the compassion of Christ.  His life reflected his faith.  "Thank you Benny, for the wonderful four years we had.  John 3:16 and beyond!"

Audrey...girl, your life is going to be so quiet now.  We'll continue to pray for you, but we'll also be there to talk your leg off when it gets too quiet.  We love you so much.  When you are busy fussin' at Benny for bein' gone, please let him know that we miss him too.

Dear Audrey and family,  I was fortunate to know many sides of Benny Matchett.  He and I would often start a transportation discussion and somehow end up in a bible discussion.  Benny was a different sort of person.  He was always working on a new adventure and the thing I admired most is that his spirit never faded.  He always thought it (whatever "it" was) could be accomplished.  
His belief in God and the here after was always in his being and future.  I will never forget his favorite line "Everybody wants to go to heaven, but nobody wants to die".  Benny was always ready for the trip and God picked the route last Sunday evening, after a day of visiting his beloved brother and doing good as was his intent through out his life.  My prayers are with the family as we grieve the loss!

Mrs Matchett, I am sorry for your loss!! I remember Benny and I always discussing God's word and his love of those he came in contact with during his travels. God has surely picked one his most beautiful flower in it's full fragrance.  Benny was one I looked forward to seeing as we worked together at Ligon in Madisonville,KY.  You and your family are in our prayers!!

Matchett Family, I had only been around Benny a few times but each time was a treat for me. I know his beautiful daughter, Pamela. I will never be able to express how much I have enjoyed hearing about Benny's many adventures. Amazing does not do justice to Benny's contribution to life. He devoted his life to the Lord and it showed in everything he did. I was always in awe when Pam would describe one of his work or church related activities. There is no doubt in my mind that God will continue to work here on earth through Benny's earthly accomplishments. I know your heart aches but take comfort in knowing that Benny is sitting at the right hand of the Lord. My love and prayers are with you all.

Mickey and I want to express our deepest sympathies to the family. May God hold you up during this time of sorrow and bless you with His love and comfort. I remember Benny as being someone that always had a big smile on his face. I know he is smiling down on all of you now and will be with you forever in your memories.

Dear Matchett Family,  Bro. Benny was a true blessing to our family.  We enjoyed your friendship and support when we attended Holland Ave. Baptist Church together.  All the donuts and dominos and visiting!  We will miss Bro. Benny but will keep y'all in our hearts and prayers.  We love you Miss Audry. We are praying for you. Benny was a special friend for my wife and I.  His love for the Lord was inspiring for us.  He always had a positive attitude and a servant's heart.  We will miss him very much, but our sorrow is comforted by the knowledge that he is at the Lord's feet.  His pain is no longer.  And we will see him soon.  God bless you all.
