Beatrice Robles Leech, 80, of Houston, TX passed away peacefully on December 18, 2017. Beatrice was born on August 17, 1937 in Winslow, AZ and her family eventually settled in El Paso, TX. She attended Bowie High School and was selected as valedictorian of her graduating class. Beatrice was working at Fort Bliss Army Base when she met her future husband, John Leech. They were married on September 2, 1961 and had four children. They moved to Houston in 1975 where Beatrice was a stay-at-home mom and active participant in her children’s school. Beatrice worked at MD Anderson Cancer Center from 1981 to 2000, becoming an administrator in the Pharmacology Department. Beatrice was the heart of her family, fun-loving, thoughtful and generous. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Beatrice was preceded in death by her parents Julian and Louisa Robles, brothers Julian and Robert Robles, and son Christopher Leech. She is survived by her devoted husband of 56 years, John Leech, daughters Rebecca Russell, Deborah Leech, Maggie Westrup, and, in El Paso, her sister Vicky Carreto and sister-in-law Emma Robles. She also leaves four grandchildren, Chris, Daenon, Julian Russell and Maya Fusco, numerous nieces and nephews, and many more family members and friends.
A visitation for Beatrice will be held Saturday, December 23, 2017 from 2:00pm with a Holy Rosary at 7:00pm at Funeraria Del Angel, 901 Main Pasadena, TX 77506. The funeral mass will be Tuesday, December 26, 2017 at 10:00am at St. Pius Catholic Church, 824 Main St, Pasadena, TX 77506. Burial to follow at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Dr., Houston, TX 77038
