I am just learning of Art's passing, and my heart is broken. He and my dad,  John Salas, were thick as thieves. They met at the dialysis center and hit it off. I got to know Art over the years through many lunches I had with him and my dad after their dialysis treatments. They were always on the phone chatting and joking around. I moved away after my dad passed, but we kept in touch occasionally, and I only made it back once to see Art. I regret not getting back to Pasadena again, but I'm glad I at least had that dinner at Spanky's with him. He was a great friend to my dad and to me. I'll never forget him. He will be greatly missed. 

I cared for Mr. Hernandez at the wound care center.  He was so strong.  I already miss his sense of humor, his jokes, and his smile.  We would get to talking and laughing so much, we would have to repeat his blood pressure because it wouldn't take.  Mr. Hernandez and his brother would come in every week, as a team.

I will miss you Mr. Hernandez.

I will always remember the trips to Starbucks, or just going for a ride or our late night card games you touched a place in mine and my girls heart that we will always remember we love and miss you my friend rest easy and fly high... 

I will always remember the friendship you shared with my brother (James Ray). You we're a part of our family as well.  Your big heart and laughter was infectious.  I loved listening to you talk. We always joked when you said mayonnaise or shrimp.  I remember that Thunderbird you had, you loved that car.  Or the time I waxed your eyebrows at my house.  Always laughing and being crazy kids.  I know you are truly happy and blessed at peace.  Rest easy friend for you'll always be remembered. 
I believe you touched every person you came into contact with a smile. Fly high rest easy. 

On behalf of myself and the wound care team we would like to send our warmest condolences to the family.  Mr. Hernandez was a kind and gentle spirit.  He was a friend to us all and he will surely be missed.  I pray that you transition in peace and that you are received with love and open arms.  

Arturo will be greatly missed but his warmth, kindness, and gentle spirit will be remembered forever.  Please know that I am thinking of you and praying for peace and comfort.
