I would like to thank my beloved sister, Amelia Rendon, for taking over for the family. As the Bible tell us to do, you truly honored your father and mother. You were the rock we all needed when we were over come with grief. You put so much planning and work, time and love into daddy funeral. It was a thankless job and you took it without hesitation. You helped us start the grieving process. You helped us say goodbye properly.  
I wanted to also thank, your husband, David Rendon. Thank you for not only supporting my sister and giving her encouragement and strength though it all but also for being my dad's best friend. Thank you, David, for being there for my daddy all these years. From the bottom of my heart thank you both for everything. I will always be in your debt. 
My beloved big sis, Daddy is so very proud of you.

A candle, for my father, that represents the fire of hope we have in our hearts for seeing him again. A fire in our heart that will never be extinguished, until we meet again.

I want to thank my nieces, nephews and great-nephews too because they were so much a part of my daddy's life. He loved you and I love you!

I have been given the great honor to speak on behalf of my family (the family of Alvaro Trevino) to say thank you to all the people that were there for us when my dad was sick and when he passed away. 
First let me reassure you that my father is no longer dead,now he is alive in heaven.  John 14:2-3 says- In my father's house are many mansions.  If it were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and welcome you to My presence, so that you also may be where I am. This life on Earth is only for a short time compared to the life that will follow, where dad and all our loved ones that have passed before us, will be forever! And you may ask how do we make heaven our forever home? Believe in God and receive Him into your heart and you will join Him and my dad in heaven.  In the bible,  John 3:16 says,  For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believeth in him shall not perish but have everlasting life. 
I wanted to say thank you but I did not know how to start, so I want to share this poem that came from my heart: 
                                                 I Think I Saw An Angel 
                                                 I think I saw an angel, 
         in fact I know he's there. 
           He gave me a hug and 
          said  I truly do care. 
 
                                                I think I saw an angel, 
       in fact I know she was there. 
        She held my hand as we pray 
        and said, "God will make it 
              everything okay".
 
                                                I think I saw some angels, 
       In fact I know they were there. 
 They wiped my tears and prayed for me 
    and gave me kindness all for free. 
 
           I know I saw an angel, 
    I know for sure the angel's there. 
      In fact I know that this true 
 because that angel is definitely you! 
 
Do you believe in angels, I do?! To me angels are those that give when there is no more to give of themselves.  People that love unconditionally and that give unconditionally, those that support , understand and pray are the angels! People like you! 
We would like to thank those brothers that were there when our dad would fall and when mom would call they would come and pick him up.  You not only gave him your hand but gave him your love! These brothers gave in the service of the Lord! We also want to thank the brothers and sisters that were with our dad to give him company when he was sick at home and at the hospital. Thank you to all the people that were there for our dad and our mom when they needed you! 
Many people, family and friends came to see dad when he was sick in the hospital and we want to tell you how much we appreciate it. I cannot find the words to say how much it meant to us that you cared! Even after my dad passed away, many of you were there for us.  For those of you that brought gifts of food, money and flowers thank you very much! For those of you that gave comfort and support, God will surely bless you! 
To the people at the hospital that showed that God has selected some people to be caregivers, we want to say we sincerely appreciate you. To the receptionists, the security guards, the young man who provided us with sustenance when my dad was very sick, we want to say thank you.  To all the nurses and nurse techs that were there for dad even to the point of giving my dad water drop by drop with a straw, for making sure my dad was comfortable and cared for, thank you very much!  For the worker there that took the time to say, everything will be alright and reminded me that everything would be alright and for the lady that said, I don't know you but I know you need a hug and promptly gave me one, thank you so much! And also for the nurse that hugged my mom and gave her words of comfort, you are so appreciated! 
For daddy's co-workers that thought so much of him and told us about him being a servant of God, thank you! For all our family's co-workers that were there for us we appreciate it very much! 
For all of you that watched our babies as we took care of dad we want you to know that we really thank you for what you did! 
For those of you that are from the church, hospital, our friends, our relatives, our co-workers and dad's co-workers, our family's family, our babysitters, the strangers that gave hugs and words of comfort, and all those that gave something of themselves , we want to say thank you from the bottom of our hearts, God bless you! 
To my family, my brother, sisters, husband, daughters, sons-in-law and grandchildren that were there through thick and thin please know that I love you and thank you so much for being there for me and mom!  
To my mom, thank you for being there for us and for always being there for daddy! You were his constant companion through the good times and the rough times too! You have shown me by your actions what a true servant of God is! 
Last but certainly not least, I want to thank God for my dad and my family and our friends and I thank God for you! 
Everyone that I mentioned here is truly an angel to us!

As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends. Jesus knows and cares about the pain you feel. 
Jesus gave way to tears.  John 11:35 When his dear friend Lazarus died he showed his emotions. So He knows how to comfort us during our time of grief.

My grandpa was an amazing man!! I love him with all my heart and I'm so lucky to have been able to spend 27 years of my life with him as my father. He's happy with the lord now and I couldn't be more happy for him. It hurts me so bad that I can't see him or hug him anymore, but one day I will see him again when I make it to heaven. For now I have many beautiful memories that I can remember❤❤❤

Alvaro Trevino was like a father to me. I have known him for 35 years and he was truly a great man of God. We also shared funny stories and I will always remember his smile and laugh. He helped my family during our toughest times he never turned his back on anyone in need. I will be forever grateful to have spent his last days in his presence. I will miss him very much. He is no longer suffering in this world. He is now praising God in Heaven. Rest in peace Hno. Trevino.
